Greetings. Today is Tuesday, November 24, 2009. This "3DOWN" Services Status page lists the status of the major services available to the MIT community, including scheduled and unscheduled outages.

General Services
Last Update: Saturday, October 31, 2009 10:00 AM

Update, 10am: The W91 SAN maintenance has been successfully completed, and affected applications are back in service.

Saturday, October 31 - 6am - 9am:  Maintenance for W91 SAN Storage.

 IS&T will be performing emergency maintenance on one of the SAN storage systems located in the W91 Data center from 6am to 9am on Saturday, October 31.  During this time, systems connected to this SAN will be unavailable.  Affected applications include SAP, MITSIS, the MIT Data Warehouse, Stellar, TSM Backup, and the Barton Catalog.  Please see the more detailed postings under Academic Services, Administrative Services, and Library Services on this page for more information.

 

Tuesday, November 3: The MITID Server and assocated services will be offline from 6:00 - 7:00pm for scheduled maintenance.

Network

Wireless Upgrade in Building E48.
 
Starting Tuesday Nov. 3rd, IS&T will be upgrading the wireless network in Building E48.  Users may experience brief serivce outages while the new equipment is installed.  Wired network service will not be affected.  The work is expected to be complete on Wednesday.

Saturday morning Oct. 31. : Full Barton Catalog service was restored around 9:15..

The ILLiad service is back online after scheduled downtime, during which Touchstone was implemented for user authentication.
